My pet bird just flew into a window, what to do?
My Ringneck Dove flew into a window about 10 minutes ago. He can move his neck fine, he can fly, and he can walk, but he is closing his eyes much more than usual. They are open for about 2 seconds than closed for 15. . . I’m worried he injured his head. I put out water but he seems to have little interest in it. Do you think he just has a headache from the crash or is injured badly?? What should I do?
Always keep the blinds or curtains closed on any window then you let the bird out to fly. You may consider clipping the birds wings so it cannot fly. I would keep a check on the bird. You may consider wrapping it up in a towel to keep it warm for awhile. It could have almost knocked itself out.
